Today the Red Sox welcomed Daisuke Matsuzaka to the team, the ballpark and the city. Turns out our new shirt, "B is for Yakyuu" was a big hit today as well. The Red Sox Foundation handed out nearly 200 of the shirts to the days attendees and the response was tremendous! If that wasn't exciting enough, the shirt has been turning up everywhere and people love having their picture taken with it. While no one is actually ever seen wearing the shirt, we can therefore determine that the item is at its best when hoisted. Observe:

Yesterday, Christmas at Fenway was something special for The Red Seat. Our new shirt, "B is for Baseball" was on sale at Fenway Park to benefit the Red Sox Foundation. If that wasn't exciting enough, there were hugs, handshakes and the treat you see below - Curt, displaying the shirt.

What a night! The Red Seat had the pleasure of attending last week's Red Sox Hall of Fame Gala. It was truly a thrill and you can read all about it here.

For the last month The Red Seat has had the distinct pleasure of working with the Red Sox Foundation on a variety of projects. The one pictured here is our invitation for the Red Sox Hall of Fame Induction Gala coming up in November. The design is on redsox.com and on the Red Sox Foundation site. As for the event, Dave Roberts is going to be there so that means our attendance is mandatory. Hope to see you there!

Awhile back, we sent The Pole to Johnny Pesky. I mean, wouldn't you? We never expected to hear anything from him, but upon our return from a week away, we had this amazing voice mail waiting for us:
Click here to listen to Johnny Pesky!

The NYY sweep at home was more than a little hard to take. At least one of our fantastic customers was a gamer and stayed until the bitter end.

Ben Affleck is really, really popular. We know this because the director of Gone, Baby, Gone called a press conference to announce his cast and crews last day of filming and loads of media (print and tv) covered the event. Hey lookie-lou, somebody is wearing the shirt he ordered from us and it looks like Battling Evil only...different.
You can also see the shirt and the man in action talking about the movie and our fair city - VIEW VIDEO.
The above is a picture that appears in US Magazine (imagine a picture only version of People Magazine):
The below is the cover of the Sunday Herald, isn't that terrific? Not Mayor Menino, the guy on the left side of the page.

A couple of months ago, The Red Seat sent some freebies to the set of Gone, Baby, Gone (filmed in and around Boston) through our courier, a major Hollywood star. Yeah, there is a story there. (Word on the street: the director is a HUGE Red Sox fan.)
Voila!--the executive producer of the movie asked us to design a modified Red Seat original as a nice little thank you gift for the cast and crew. And so The Gone, Baby, Gone shirt was born. The way we look at it, when Ben Affleck and company place an order - we fellow Cantabrigians can't let each other down. Now paging Mister Damon (and we don't mean Johnny)...

July 12th is Hot Stove Cool Music and we had the pleasure to design the concert shirt you see on our home page. The best part for us wasn't coming up with the design, it was the brief email exchange with Theo Epstein about the project. How cool is that?
This just in: Sweet Baby James (Taylor) has been added to the roster. Not too shabby. We went last year and had a great time and this year the show is even bigger - we hope to see you there.

Well, we couldn't be more excited about this new season and to kick things off we will be introducing a slew new stuff only found here at The Red Seat. This month's release is a new shirt named simply "The Pole". At only 302 feet down the right field line, it's this line that divides glory from infamy, happy from sad and hero from zero. This shirt is a pre-order but we expect to be shipping by the Sox home opener. We've also updated our Nation greeting cards with a graphic that looks like it did before only better!
And, believe it or not, Duffy's Cliff is set to launch in the coming weeks, so keep your eyes peeled (whatever that means) for that.

The Spring Training games are ON at The Red Seat video command center and we're supah excited (excited?) to watch number 93 pitch to number 57 and when we're not mesmerized by the games, we're busy coming up with new stuff for YOU. The drawing board overflow'eth and this month we're releasing "Battling Baby", a super tee for the littlest in your brood. We have also added PayPal to the store - customer requested, Red Seat tested, and by-golly it works! The internets are so cool. There's a new featured gallery too. We've dubbed it the Hall of Fame. The goods that are put out to pasture get lonely, so pay them a visit every now and then.
For you locals, a bunch of current Red Seat items as well as our newly retired, "Octover" are all available at the COOP in Harvard Square.

If you missed those big red capital letters followed by one equally large exclamation point on our homepage, you might have missed that we are having a store-wide sale. With everything costing a good deal less, we may need to open a 6 items or fewer aisle. It's a virtual guarantee that we'll check you out faster than your local grocer - heck, we even bag and deliver right to your door!
In other news, there's a brand new team member around here. She's not the best employee we have but she's up around the clock and willing to work for food. Check her out.
