Wednesday, July 12, 2006 - Hot Stove, Cool Music: The Fenway Sessions went off without a hitch on Wednesday night, the 12th of July. Well, that's not entirely true. There was the horrible rain storm that soaked the stage to a point of possible electrocution. The makeshift substitute stage under the bleachers made it kind of a challenge to watch the bands and James Taylor sang only one song, but other than that, it was actually a lot of fun. We scored access to the backstage (Thanks, Kelly!) and watched Cowboy Mouth rock hard from there.
We designed the shirt for the event and people actually bought it! We saw several walking around. We got a little love from Dale and Holley on WEEI and from Boston Dirt Dogs, so I don't think that hurt. And man, if the weather cooperated our seats would have been fantastic (Thanks, Jeff!)! *sigh* We did spend much of the evening hanging out in our seats chatting, enjoying the almost empty park and watching H run all over with his posse.
